Cowboy Ninja Wii

Brad posting? WELL I NEVER. Red Steel 2

Never what?

Quiet you.

Red Steel was one of the earliest releases for the Wii console, and it was met with heavy criticism for not living up to the hype Ubisoft mustered up. Personally, I quite liked the game and felt that the shooting mechanics were very well done, although I’ll admit swordplay was not. I think many people were so annoyed about the game not executing the sword fighting properly that they refused to consider any part of the game as being good.

A few years later and we now have Red Steel 2. With Wii MotionPlus affording the Wii with the 1:1 motion control that Nintendo promised us in the first place, the sequel looked to be capable of fulfilling gamers’ wish for a proper sword game.

Do I think it worked?

Play? Let’s!

Just an update on some of our goings on. Yes, Adam is seemingly the only one that’s posting anything here; Hopefully that will change very soon. In other news, right now our Youtube channel is mostly flooded with Let’s Play videos. I (Safeer) am currently going through The Legend of Zelda; very soon we should also have videos of me and George playing a bit of Spelunky, which will update irregularly until we beat the nutty game; Our Mario Let’s Play is also finished (all 70 videos of it), but we’re going to upload some strangely entertaining optional extras, more of us four playing NSMBW. Expect those up next week.

So, check them out, if you’re a fan of that sort of thing. And if you’re not, don’t fret; while we will continue to do them, we have many other projects in store, video or otherwise, and hopefully something will be to your liking. You picky bastard.

Let’s Mario.

This is the first blog post directing you to the YouTube, where we keep the NEW Super Mario Bros Wii Let’s Play with four players. There are three episodes up and you should watch them. Then you should look out for the rest of the series as they become uploaded daily over the next however long it takes for the whole series to become wholly updated.

Band Hero review

All the way back in, er, September, Esoteric wrote about The Beatles: Rock Band. So now that Band Hero has been released I thought I’d give you an overview of that.

The newest instalment in Activision’s Guitar Hero series (They’ve owned it since Guitar Hero 3, when Harmonix went off to make Rock Band), Band Hero is a spin-off with a focus on multiplayer, and allows the game to behave more like the Rock Band series. Read more of this post
